A squirt bottle, also known as peri-bottle, is commonly used by a mom who just gave birth to wash her perineal. It is basically a bottle that you can fill with water and squirt to your rear end until you are clean.

How To Get Traffic To A New Blog Using Pinterest

how to get traffic to a new blog

Get your brand spanking new blog a boost of traffic by doing these tips.

You spent hours perfecting your brand new blog and now you are ready for traffic. You excitedly and patiently wait for those clicks.

And then nothing.

Getting traffic to a brand new blog does not happen automatically, you have to put the work.

So today, you will learn how to get traffic to a new blog.

Wondering How To Get Traffic To A Brand New Blog? Here is the best strategy that you can do to increase traffic to your brand new blog.

How To Get Traffic To A New Blog

Even though you perfectly SEO-optimized your article, it still will not rank overnight.

This is because it will take time for your blog to get out of Google’s “sandbox”.

Once it is out of the “sandbox”, which can take 6 mos or more, only then can your article start showing on search results.

But how about the first few months?

You need traffic in the first few months because traffic will motivate you to keep working on your blog.

You need the traffic to start making money to justify your blogging expenses and keep your blog afloat.

This is where social media can help you. Increase your social media presence, be it Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.

But most importantly, use Pinterest

Let me show you how you can leverage Pinterest to get traffic to a brand new blog.

What Is Pinterest

Pinterest is a platform where users search, discover and save new ideas, inspiration, and solutions to their problems which are called “pins”.

These “pins” are then saved to organized folders called “boards”.

So, what’s in it for you?

Basically, Pinterest is a search engine where people are looking for things to make, use, try, and buy.

So, your job here is to create pins for your blog posts that provide value and pin them on Pinterest.

When people find your pin interesting, they will click on your pins and go to your site.

Now, you just got blog traffic from Pinterest!

Unlike Google, Pinterest does not have a “sandbox”. Therefore you can have the chance to show up right away on search results.

That is if you do Pinterest the right way.

How To Get Traffic To A New Blog Using Pinterest

Create A Business Account

If your goal is to leverage Pinterest for your business, you need to have a Pinterest Business account.

A Business account gives you access to important analytics on how your pins are performing. It allows you to enable “rich pins”(we’ll talk about it below) and to connect your website directly to your Pinterest account.

You can join as a new business or switch your personal account if you already have one here.

Click either ‘Join as a business’ or ‘Convert existing account.’

Claim Your Website

Once you have a business Pinterest account, you can verify your website. This is important in order to enable rich pins.

Claiming your website will give you those important analytics about pins that are saved from your site.

It lets you know what kind of content your audience is saving from your blog, which is very helpful when figuring out what to write.

How To Claim Website

Once you set up your business account, claiming your website will be a breeze.

Go to your account settings and scroll to the ‘claim’ area. Enter your website URL and click the ‘Confirm website.’

A window will pop up with some code, called ‘metadata.’ You will need to add this code to your website.

There are a few different ways to add the code to the website but I’m going to share with you the easiest one.

On your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins>>Add New>>Search Yoast SEO>>Activate.

Once activated, go to Yoast SEO>>Social>>Facebook>>Enable Open Graph Metadata>>Pinterest

You will then copy the metadata code from Pinterest then paste it into the Pinterest Confirmation box, then press “Save”.

Sometimes, you will get “403 Forbidden”, you will just click the box to whitelist the request. Then hit refresh or back button to try again.

Once you have added the metadata, go back to your account settings on Pinterest and click ‘Next” and then “Submit”

It will then take 24 hours for Pinterest to review and approve your application.

Enable Rich Pins

Once you have claimed your website, you can apply for Rich Pins.

But what are rich pins?

According to Pinterest,

Rich Pins show metadata right on the Pin itself, giving Pinners a richer experience and increasing engagement. Information in a Rich Pin is independent of the Pin description, ensuring that important information is always tied to the Pin. There are 4 types of Rich Pins: app, article, product and recipe Pins

Rich Pins are important because they give your reader extra information that will help them decide if they should save your pin.

For an article pin, it shows the title, the snippet, and the author’s name.

Here is an example:

Not A Rich Pin
Rich Pin

The primary goal of rich Pins should be to make pinners care about your page and earn their click.

How to Set Up Rich Pins with Yoast Plugin

After claiming your website using the Yoast plugin, you are now ready to enable rich pins.

First, you’ll go to Pinterest’s Rich Pin Validator to validate your site.

Below the instructions, you’ll see a URL box and a blue button that says Validate.

Just copy the URL from any of your website blog posts, paste it into this box, and hit the Validate button.

Once you click validate, a page will pop up with a button that says “Apply.” Hit that button, and you’re all set!

Your pins will become Rich pins within 24 hours of completing this process.

Create A Perfect Pinterest Profile

An optimized profile will help people find you and your stuff. Remember, Pinterest is a search engine.

Optimize your Pinterest profile by putting niche-specific keywords to your profile bio and even your username.

Let people know why they should follow you on Pinterest and how you can help them. Give them a reason to come back to your site.

You can consider creating valuable freebies that you can give to your Pinterest followers.

Create Viral Pins

Since Pinterest is a visual search engine, your pins should stand out and catch your reader’s attention. They should be interesting enough to stop the reader from scrolling.

Qualities Of A Viral Pin

  • 2:3 Image Size
  • Warm colors that match your brand
  • SEO-optimized pin descriptions
  • Keywords in alt tags
  • Easy To Read Text Overlay

Canva has awesome templates that can help you get started in creating viral pins.

Optimize Boards

Your Pinterest boards are essentially the organized folders where you can save pins. When you optimize your boards, you are being helpful to the Pinterest algorithm when it’s trying to get relevant content in front of other pinners.

To optimize your boards, put niche-specific keywords in the board name as well as the board description.

And only add relevant pin contents to that board.

Create and Pin Fresh High-Quality Pins Consistently

Do not pin your pins over and over again. Instead, create and pin fresh high-quality pins for your old and new blog posts.

Pinterest recently changed their algorithm and is now favoring fresh content. So if you want to increase your chances of showing up on search results, create and pin fresh content consistently.

Use Tailwind

With Pinterest, you need to not only pin consistently but also to pin during the best times so that you can reach your audience.

So if your readers are all over the world, that means you’ll be pinning 24/7!

But who’s got time for that?

It is then most efficient for you to schedule these posts with management tools like Tailwind. Tailwind helps you boost your followers and get more repins.

With Tailwind, you can batch schedule your posts for days and times that your readers are most active.

And with Tailwind’s newest feature, SmartGuide, you will be confident that you are adhering to Pinterest’s best practices.

SmartGuide takes away the guesswork of when to post and how often you should post.

Here’s $15 to get you started with Tailwind.

Join Facebook Groups

Participating in Facebook groups can help boost your pins. Share your pins on the daily thread and make sure to reciprocate.

Here are some of the best helpful Facebook groups.

Join Pinterest Group Boards

Joining group boards that relate to your niche helps increase your reach.

You can find group boards by clicking on someone’s Pinterest profile, viewing the boards they are in, and any that have multiple images as members of the board is a group board.

Join Tailwind Tribes

When you have Tailwind, you will have access to Tailwind Tribes. Tailwind tribes are a great way to increase your reach and traffic.

Again, join tribes that are relevant to your niche and if you share your pins to tribes, you also need to reciprocate.

If you are in the personal final niche, you can join my Tailwind tribe here.

Repin Other’s Pins

As of February 2020, Pinterest has made it clear that you can and should pin MOSTLY your own fresh content, as long as it’s useful and relevant to your audience.

However, if you are just starting out and not have a lot of content yet, it is still okay to pin other people’s content as long as they are relevant to your audience.

There you have it!

Getting traffic to a brand new blog can be challenging but if you follow all of the above tips, you can drive traffic to your brand new blog.

How To Cut Cell Phone Bills Into Half (And Save Thousands Per Year)

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Tello Mobile. All opinions are my own and were not influenced by any parties.

Cellphone bills are outrageously expensive but there is a way to lower a cellphone bill.

Please raise your hand if you are someone who gets frustrated when your cellphone bill comes, and it’s way more than what the cellphone company promised when you signed up.

And to make it even worse, you can’t back out because you’re tied to a contract.

Yes, absolutely annoying and frustrating.

Those hidden fees can wreak havoc on your budget if you do not do anything about them.

So, today I will show you a great tip on how to cut cellphone bills in half and start saving thousands per year.

Want to save on your cell phone bill? Here is an awesome cellphone bill hacks that you can do to lower your cellphone bills. #ad #savemoney #savemoneyoncellphonebill

How Much Is The Average Cell Phone Bills

In today’s day and age, the average cell phone bill is $114 per month. That’s $1,368 per year out of your pocket!

You know you have other better things to do with that amount of money, like saving for your emergency fund or paying down your debt.

So today, let me show you options on how to save money on your cell phone bill so that you can focus on working towards your financial goals.

How To Save Money On Cellphone Bills

If you want to really save money, then you can stop using cell phones altogether. But of course, you’re a millennial, so it’s not even an option.

1) Negotiate For A Lower Cell Phone Plan

The first thing that you can do to lower your cell phone bill is to pick up the phone and call the network company and negotiate your current rate plan.

The worst that could happen is they will say no, but you’ll never know unless you ask.

I do this every single year, and most of the time, I was successful. I was able to lower our cell phone bill by a few dollars.

2) Switch To A Cheaper Cell Phone Plan

If negotiating on the phone freaks you out or if you’re unsuccessful, consider switching to other networks.

Besides the Big 4 Networks, there are dozens of mobile virtual network operators (MVNO) offering wireless service using T-mobile, AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon towers.

And the one that I will be introducing to you today, if you haven’t heard about them yet, is the most-talked-about low-cost mobile plan provider, Tello Mobile.

Recently, Tello reached out to me, and I was given the opportunity to try one of their customizable plans for a month.

But before I share with you my personal experience with Tello Mobile, let me first share the important details.

What Is Tello?

Tello is a relatively new mobile provider, which was launched in 2015. However, its parent company, KeepCalling, has been around since 2002. So technically, they are not new to this type of business.

Although they may seem to be new to the market, they are gaining popularity rather very quickly.

Is Tello Legit?

As their popularity continues to increase, more and more people are trying their services and leaving reviews.

Check out what others are saying about Tello.

What Network Is Tello?

Tello Mobile works exclusively on the Sprint network. And since Sprint has one of the best cell phone coverage, you should not have any trouble finding service.

If you are curious if your area has coverage, you can check it out here.

What Phones Can You Use With Tello

Tello Mobile works with any Sprint compatible phone, which can be an iPhone, Samsung, or Nexus.

To make sure your phone is compatible, you can check it out here.

What Sets Tello Apart

There are a lot of MVNOs out there, Tello’s mission to eliminate overpriced wireless and save you money sets them apart from anyone else along with the following:

  • No Contract and No Hidden Fees
  • You Can Downgrade or Upgrade Anytime
  • Nationwide 4G LTE Coverage
  • Free Tethering
  • Flexible Plans That You Can Customize
  • Affordable International Plan
  • Awesome Referral Program

What Are Tello Mobile Plans

Tello Mobile Offer flexible plans, which gives you the freedom to choose from their Build Your Own Plan or their Ready-Made Plans.

Build Your Own Plan

With this plan, you have the flexibility to combine any number of minutes to any data size. You can go as high as pairing unlimited data and unlimited text to as low as matching 100 minutes and 500 MB data.

Ready-Made Plans

  • Economy Plan – Unlimited Minutes & Unlimited Text + 1 GB = $10/mo
  • Value Plan – Unlimited Minutes & Unlimited Text + 2 GB = $14/mo
  • Smart Plan – Unlimited Minutes & Unlimited Text + 4 GB = $19/mo
  • Family Plan – 1 Family, 1 Account & No Extra Cost Per Line  = $5/mo to $39/mo/line
  • Data Plan – Unlimited Minutes & Unlimited Text + 12 GB = $39/mo

Does Tello Have Family Plans

Tello now offers family plans which are also flexible. You can choose their customizable plans or choose from their ready-made deals for the family.

The best thing about their family plan is that each member’s phone plan can be different from each other.

My Personal Experience With Tello

As I’ve mentioned earlier, I was given the opportunity to try out any of the Tello Mobile plans. Since I am always looking for legit ways to save money and coincidentally one of Tello’s missions is to eliminate overpriced wireless plans, it made sense for me to try them out.

The first thing that I did was to create a new account with Tello. The website was user-friendly, so I was able to set up my account quickly.

I picked an iPhone and then used the Build Your Own Plan to set my plan to unlimited minutes and unlimited data.

I chose to test Tello Mobile’s unlimited plan because I want to compare it with my current unlimited plan with AT&T.

Once everything was good to go, I chose my payment method to finalize the transaction.

The notification stated that the phone would arrive in 3-5 days via USPS first class mail. I also got an emailed instruction on what to do when the package comes.

After four days, the phone arrived. I followed the emailed instructions, which included plugging in the device until fully charged.

Then, I logged on to my Tello account to activate the phone before turning it on.

And just like that, my phone was ready for texting, calling, and surfing the net.

Coverage Comparison

We are located in the Chicago suburbs, so coverage is good. However, I do most of my office work in our basement, so I do not get the full cell phone signal bars.

With my current provider, I only get two signal bars, so I was concerned that with Tello Mobile, I would get even less.

But to my surprise, there was no difference. Here’s my side by side comparison.

save money on cell phone bills

Quality Of Phone Calls

I make a lot of phone calls in my day job, and it involves patient care, so the quality of voice calls is crucial to me.

My concern about low-cost network providers includes dropped, choppy, and garbled calls. But with Tello, the quality was impressive. I have yet to experience a lousy quality phone call.

Internet Speed

Nowadays, where everything runs via the internet, speed is essential. Although I have not experienced it yet, I have read from other users that their internet speed throttled to 64kbps once 25GB has been used up.

I do not see this as a problem because most of the time, I am on a wifi network. However, if you’re someone who uses a lot of data and you have limited access to wifi, then this might be a problem for you.

Pay As You Go Plan

Are you calling abroad frequently? You’ll be pleasantly surprised by Tello’s international rates and quality of calls.

I wanted to try this plan because I wanted to compare the quality and cost of calling internationally.

Canada, Mexico, and China are included in the plan, but the Philippines isn’t, so I had to go with their pay as you go plan.

The quality of the phone call was actually better than the one I was currently using, and it costs lesser.

Final Thoughts On Tello Mobile

My free trial is over, and I have learned a lot, but the bottom line is low price does not always equate low quality.

I can see Tello Mobile to be around for a while. They are continually working to meet every customer’s needs.

Although I am not ready to switch yet, I am still going to continue with Tello Mobile because of the cheaper international plan.

The reason why I am not ready to switch yet is that we were able to lock in a reasonable rate for our family plan earlier this year. But knowing how these big networks work, we will surely see an increase next year.

And if that happens, I know I have options.

There you have it! That’s how you can cut your cellphone bills in half.

If you are interested in Tello Mobile, please click on my link. It’s an affiliate link, but I promise this review was 100% my opinion.

And if you’re new to managing your money, check out these money management tips.

A credit score is a three-digit number that represents your creditworthiness.

It is one of the things that lenders look for to evaluate your qualifications for a loan or credit.

  • Total Debt Amount– Refers to the total amount you owe.
  • Payment History– This refers to your timeliness in paying your bills or debt.
  • Length of Credit History– This includes the age of your oldest account and the average age of all of your accounts
  • Type of Credit– This refers to the type of debt you have, revolving credit or installment loans.
  • Hard Inquiries– This refers to the number of times you apply for a loan or credit.
  • Credit Utilization– This refers to the ratio of how much you owe and your credit limit.

The credit score model was developed by Fair Isaac Corporation, also known as FICO. Here is the average FICO score range.

  • Excellent: 800 to 850
  • Very Good: 740 to 799
  • Good: 670 to 739
  • Fair: 580 to 669
  • Poor: 300 to 579

According to myFICO, not all credit scores are FICO scores. Although FICO scores have been the most commonly used by top lenders since 1989, it’s not the only one out there.

Other credit score models can give you an idea of where you stand.

For instance, your credit score usually refers to your VantageScore score, a credit score model that was established in 2006.

It also uses the same algorithm as FICO, but the scores can still vary.

  • Excellent– 750 to 850
  • Good– 700 to 749
  • Fair– 650 to 699
  • Poor– 550 to 649
  • Very Poor– 300 to 549

If your credit falls between 300 and 619, then you have a BAD credit score.

Having a poor credit score will cripple you in many ways, from not being able to get credit when necessary, to being stopped from making important purchases.

Before you start fixing, you must be able to pinpoint where the problem is coming from. By establishing a baseline, you will be able to work and track your progress.

To start to rebuild your credit score, you should know where you are at first so that you will know what your starting point is.

You can get your VantageScore FREE from Credit Karma

As for your FICO Score, you can get it for FREE if you have any of the following banks.

  • Discover
  • Chase
  • Ally
  • American Express
  • Citibank
  • Bank of America
  • Walmart Credit Card
  • Credit Union Card

If you do not have any of the above, there are affordable plans out there that can give you your credit scores from all bureaus.

Your credit score is separate from your credit report. Your credit report will not have your credit score and vice versa.

You will be able to get a free copy of your credit report from all bureaus every year. You can also access them through the Annual Credit Report Website.

Carefully evaluate the report from each of the credit reporting agencies and look for errors and other pieces of information that can impact your credit history.

If you found errors on your report, you might want to fix it. Credit repair agencies claim that they can remove bad entries from your credit report.

But did you know that you can have them removed yourself? There are two methods by which you may be able to get negative entries removed from your report.

Option #1: File a Dispute with the Credit Bureaus

Each of the credit reporting agency provides a step by step guide to dispute errors.

Option #2: Negotiate with Creditors

Dealing with creditors can be intimidating, especially if you’re not on good terms with them.

But speaking directly to your creditors may help you get negative information removed from your credit report.

If you only have a late payment or two on your account, a creditor might be willing to remove the derogatory information once you’ve resumed a regular payment schedule.

If you’ve experienced repossession or had an account turned over to collections, payment in full might persuade them to remove the negative entry.

It might sound like a long shot, but you never know until you ask.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is NO quick way to increase your credit score. It requires a process and a lot of patience.

However, there are things you can do to help improve your credit score in the long run but not overnight.

No guarantee that disputing information on your credit report or negotiating with creditors will get negative items removed from your record.

But if it doesn’t, the best thing you can do is try to build up some positive information on your report.

The first thing you need to do when trying to rebuild good credit is to bring all accounts from “delinquent” to “paid.”

Try to work out a deal with your creditors to accomplish this, or talk to a credit counseling agency.

But don’t miss payments on current accounts or put money toward those that are past due.

If it comes down to paying one or the other, keep the current account current.

Saving Money Tip

If you are interested in lowering your bills but don’t have the time and confidence to negotiate with bill companies, you can use a service like Billcutterz to do it for you.

You only pay them a minimal amount if they were able to save you money. If not then it’s FREE.

Once all of your accounts are current, put a priority on keeping them that way. Making your payments on time will raise your credit score over time.

Having a budget will help you see where your money is going. You will be able to adjust it accordingly based on your goals.

By having a budget, you can determine if you are living within your means or not. And, you can distinguish between your needs and wants.

Budgeting can also help you pay your bills on time and pay your debts sooner because you can direct where every dollar goes.

In some cases, bad credit is a result of irresponsible money management. But it often occurs because of unexpected financial hardship.

One day you might have all of your bills current, and the next, you could become disabled or lose your job.

And if you fall behind on your debts, it will wreak havoc on your credit rating.

If you have an emergency fund built up, you can prevent bad credit from happening. You will be prepared to handle emergency expenses.

Start saving for one month’s worth of expenses and work your way up to six months.

Keep your emergency fund in high-interest savings account that you can easily access in case of emergency.

If you have a balance on any credit card, be sure to pay at least the minimum monthly amount each month.

Do your best to pay back your debt, and as quickly as you can manage.

Creatively find as many ways as you can to save money for debt payment. Also, consider a second job. If you can work even an extra day per week, it can help you pay back your debt sooner.

By paying off your debt, you will eliminate some of the interest that continues to build as time passes and build your credit score at the same time.

Use as little of your credit card limit as possible. Ideally, you should not use more than 30% of your credit card limit every month.

Even if you are regularly paying it back in full, the habit of spending more than this percentage causes you to appear as a big spender.

It will most certainly hurt your credit score.

If you have multiple credit cards with more than 30% utilization, stop using them immediately. Start paying them down as fast as you can.

Don’t be tempted to close your credit card accounts, especially your oldest one.

Remember, your credit history age is calculated by the age of your oldest account and the average age of all your accounts.

Credit cards can get people into trouble, but when handled correctly they can be your best friend.

Remember that having a credit card long term shows stability and will raise your credit score.

If you’ve applied to card companies in the past but have gotten rejected, there are still things you can do. You can get a secured card.

Secured cards require a deposit that generally serves as your credit limit. If you don’t pay your bills, the card issuer can withdraw the deposit.

Get one at a bank around you, and preferably the one you do business with. You have the best chance of getting accepted there.

According to Debt.com, the repair process can take 3 to 6 months, but the rebuilding can take up to a year or more.

You also have to take into consideration factors like how bad your credit was, how significant the damage was to your credit, and a lot more.

There you have it!

Repairing your poor credit score is not an easy task nor quick, but it is entirely achievable.

Take your time and choose as many ways as possible to give it a boost. In no time at all, you will be on your way to better credit.
